An Auld Lang Syne Moment
No whistles and bells for the following old-fashioned song (2 versions). It’s a generational gap but I will take this song over someone yelling phrases in the midst of mob-like fireworks, dancing lights, a troop of dancers, ward malfunctions, and electronically synchronized music. Most songs I like are best enjoyed with simple instrumentation, good melody and a quality voice.
Having said that it is really oxymoronic to argue about what kind of music is best. If you like triangle solos, I figure that is what you like. Case closed. Music is a good example of diversity at it’s best. If you don’t like the Louvin Brothers it is simply a genetic defect. Smile.
